The right way to wash your hair depends upon your hair’s color, texture, and the amount of oil secreted by your sebaceous glands. These glands secrete oils that coat your skin and hair. The amount of oil secreted varies from person to person and will determine how much should shampoo your hair.

People with oiler hair should shampoo more often than those with normal or dry hair. There are many different shampoos and conditioners currently available on the market that meet almost every consumer’s needs. There are shampoos for dry, oily, and normal hair, which can be purchased for the about same price. Different chemical formulations exist in stores and offer numerous choices to the consumer for purchasing hair care products. Choose a product that meets your personal needs and hair type. 1. Select the proper shampoo and conditioner for your hair.

2. Decide how often to wash your hair.

3. Gather shampoo, conditioner, and towel to commencing to wash your hair.

4. Find a sink or tub with clean water and thoroughly wet your hair.

5. Apply a small amount of shampoo to your hair and massage it in gently. Be careful not to scratch your scalp accidentally with your fingernails.

6. Rinse hair thoroughly with clean warm water.

7. Apply a small amount of hair conditioner to your hair. Wait at least one minute then rinse with clean water until the conditioner is out of your hair.

8. Towel hair dry.

9. Use a hair dryer if you must, but remember that hair dryers can cause frizzing and other hair damage.
